Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis Club to Support Annual ‘Help the Homeless’ Campaign
Posted by Jay Stephany
The Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis Club is once again supporting the annual “Help for the Homeless” hygiene drive that runs from February 22nd through March 15th.
The Family’s ‘Help for the Homeless’ hygiene drive works with area homeless coalitions to stock the shelves of 80 homeless and crisis programs in 13 Wisconsin communities in our listening areas. This campaign is to supply an entire year’s worth of products to agencies so that they can dedicate their limited financial resources to providing qualified personnel, safe housing, nutritious food, education and counseling to the people they serve.
Did you know that when someone enters a crisis agency in the Fox Valley, typically everything they own fits into one brown paper bag? With this donation drive, those agencies can now welcome them with a basket of personal care items.
