We did not receive the news early enough to put it in our December newsletter. Jane reports that on November 4th, Rotarian Catherine Hynes passed away. This was followed by the loss of fellow Rotarian George Barabonoff on November 17, 2012. |

The match results in a 3 for 1 gift to the Rotsary Foundation for PolioPlus on behalf of Canadian Rotarians. They have done so in an almost uninterrupted fashion since the first MUNA was held on April 26 and 27, 1957. The 55th Assembly will take place on May 9, 10 and 11, 2013 and we welcome delegates from all District 5550 clubs. |
Posted by John Dawes on Oct 16, 2012 ShelterBox Canada has launched the Young ShelterBox School Program which provides an opportunity for Rotary Clubs to partner with local elementary schools to introduce them to ShelterBox. The Young ShelterBox program provides teachers and schools with teaching resources that will engage and inspire children to learn about the world we live in and how they can help those in need.

As the 2012-13 begins I suspect it will be a big year for Fran and I. We get to travel and meet many Rotarians and make many new friends. During the assembly in San Diego we were told to turn to the left, then to the right and greet each person with "You have a new friend in me". We'll be dizzy!! |
