It is purely for fun and friendship. This is when a group of Rotarians travels to their district, and then later a group comes to our district. A fantastic way to travel the world and make friends with people you have something in common with: Rotary! Plans are under way for Rotary year 12/13 exchanges and it should include you! | Posted by Hans Granholm on Jun 01, 2012 On October 8, 2011 The Rotary Foundation launched a new online payment system. The Rotary Foundation Canada switched to the new system. | Posted by Donald Shay The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) was created as a grass roots initiative to help Rotarians build their leadership skills, both in their professional lives and as Rotarians. | Posted by Kevin Hilgers on Jun 03, 2012 Many Rotary Clubs enjoy a "moment of thanks", or "reflection" or grace or prayer. Call it what you will, it's a nice way to take a moment and be thankful for all we as Rotarians have and enjoy. A while ago I put together a list of "non-denominational reflections". They are even what you would call secular. I get asked to do a "moment of thanks" so I enjoy having this list nearby. I share with anyone who wishes to use them if it fits for their club. Click here If you come across secular or non-denominational reflections suitable for Rotary meetings could you share with me? There is an email on the attached document. | Posted on Aug 11, 2010 | Posted by Terry Drader on Nov 01, 2009 Past District Governor Alan MacLean initiated a program that would inject much-needed cash into the District coffers. The program was free, painless and required little or no administration effort. The program was called the Husky/Mohawk Loyalty Card Program | Posted by Kevin Hilgers on Aug 28, 2005 Kevin Hilgers of the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie here. I have always struggled with a proper speech when handing out a Paul Harris Fellow. I looked online, couldn't find anything I thought was good enough. The pins come with suggested scripts, but I wanted better. So I typed what I thought would be a proper script. Click HEREto download the script. You'll have to modify, localize, update, but I think you may find it gives the presentation the proper class and honour it deserves. It's also a sales pitch for WHY we give to RF. There's no sense keeping it to myself. if you find it of use, enjoy. Let me know if you do use it! I have had clubs from Pennsylvania, California and a few others use it and that's cool. Kev. This is a vehicle to raise some unrestricted funds and it gives individuals or corporations an opportunity to reach a wider audience at a very reasonable rate.. | Posted by Judy Harcourt on Jan 17, 2004 We are committed to ensuring your privacy and we believe in giving you full disclosure about the information we gather and what we do with it. You can be confident that we do not sell or exchange our members' names and email addresses, or any other information about our members, with third parties, without your consent. | Posted by Hans Granholm on Oct 12, 2003 Are you looking for Adobe Acrobat Reader? | Posted by Hans Granholm on May 19, 2010 Rotary Districts were first established in 1915, at which time the Calgary Downtown Club was the only one in our area. In 1957, the present District was established as District 536 without change to the geographic boundaries of the original District. Since there were only 30 clubs in the District at the time, Governor Glen Peacock of Calgary initiated an extension drive which resulted in eight new clubs receiving their charters, setting a District record. The Edmonton Club was chartered in 1916. |
