Welcome to yet another wonderful year of Rotaract! Some very exciting things have happened this year. District 5280 and 5260 merged to make up a bigger and better District 5280 and we are looking forward to the new Rotaract clubs that will be joining our family.

We have many great plans in order to make our time together more fruitful this year. We are going to focus heavily on service; whether it is to serve the communities that we live in, our schools, our friends, neighbors or the global community! Service can be as easy as a state of mind, and can be implemented into our life, in every action we take. After all we are Rotaract and selfless service is one of the main reasons that has brought us all together as Rotaractors!

This year, there is going to be a great reward offered to those who decide to become change-makers and help and serve those who are in need- The prestigious and self-rewarding “President’s Volunteer Service Award”. My board and I will work closely with you and your club presidents to help you achieve the award and will honor all of those who do at our end of the year celebration.

As amazing as a day of selfless service feels, it also feels good to get to know new people and get together in a more fun and casual setting, which is why we are also planning a few fun socials to come. Please join us and bring along friends or family who are interested in becoming Rotaractors as well!

Interested in debate and research?
The district boards of Rotary and Rotaract 5280 are in the works to putting together our first ever ethics competition! During an ethics competition, student teams will collaboratively analyze, present, and respond to questions posed by a panel of judges. The experience promises to challenge participants’' moral reasoning, provide a wonderful networking opportunity, and in the end, raise students' awareness of the importance of corporate social responsibility. Rotaract Clubs within the district will be set to compete against each other for scholarships or prizes!
